Development of territorial automated control system of the atmospheric air conditions in towns of Murmansk region

In 2009 FCGS “Ecology” created several automated informational measuring systems of the persistent air pollution control in towns of Murmansk region: Murmansk, Apatity, Monchegorsk. Three of these complexes are situated in Murmansk. The main goal is the control of nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide (NO and NO2), CO, and hydrocarbon sum. The automated informational measuring centre of persistent sulfur dioxide (SO2) control was placed in Monchegorsk. The centre of persistent dust particles control was created in Apatity.

Every complex has gas analyzers, which provide impurity concentration measurement; industrial personal computer (which provides basic data processing), and GPRS modem, which enables to export measured and processed data to the central database in Murmansk.

Block diagram of information connection and consolidation of complexes into a single system is shown on the scheme below:

The principles of ecological monitoring automation were worked out and implemented in Murmansk. These principles include development and adoption of automated system of data collection created by new technology; development of telecommunication and informational connection between automated complexes of persistent impurity control and central system in Murmansk.
